1993 ladies and gentlemen - it was the year this song was introduced to a broader audience, like the USA for example. It is written by 2 irish musicians named Dolores O'Riordan and Noel Hogan and it brought them fame and fortune, as well as a lot of it for their home country Ireland. In a documentary Dolores said that this song is written about her first serious kiss. "Linger was listed as #86 on VH1's 100 Greatest Songs of the 90s".

Eiffel 65 - Blue - a 1999 computer generated video.

This song received mixed critic reviews, some said it was a catchy masterpiece while others said it was like an endless ringtone the annoys you until you answer the phone. For me this song is a great dance single, that topped a lot of charts around the world mainly because of the catchy chorus. And I gotta admit that the music video really grabbed your attention because it was rare to see a computer generated video at that time.

Fugees - Killing Me Softly - you know Lauryn Hill and Wyclef Jean right?

The Fugees were a real hip-hop band, they had lyrics like none of the hip-hop stars have these days, it was a whole different ball game, and the players knew how to handle lyrics without dissing someone. Lauryn Hill is a great influence to an enormous number of artists including the now famous Adele. Wyclef Jean is most popular for his work with Shakira after leaving the Fugees.

Scorpions - Wind Of Change - one of the best ones.

The "Wind Of Change" is one of the most iconic songs in the world. It marks the end of an era, precisely the fall of the Berlin Wall which means The Scopions' homeland gets reunited and at the same time it marks the fall of communism in Eastern Europe. The song is still to this day the most popular print left in music history that stays popular enough to be remembered for many years.

Bon Jovi - Always - a power ballad of the 90's

Now this song does not need a music video. It is filled with so much passion that you can visually imagine all of the feelings that are mentioned in the lyrics through Jon Bon Jovi's voice and Richie Sambora's virtuoso guitar playing. No wonder this one sold around 4 million copies worldwide. One of the main mistakes of 1994 is that this song never reached the top spot on the Billboard charts, it got to number 4, but that is simply not enough for a song of this calibre. I greet all the people who are actually going to read this with this masterpiece and may we "Always" listen to Bon Jovi.

Rage Against The Machine - Bulls On Parade - a band against the machine

"Rage Agains The Machine" - one of the bands that explain music in a way of political revolution with songs starting riots way before Eminem had written "Mosh". This song is a perfect example of how times repeat themselves and action needs to be taken more now than ever before.

Foo Fighters - Everlong - before Inception.

1997 - definitely a good year for music, unlike 1994 when we lost Kurt Cobain, which on the other hand gave life to Dave Grohl's composing and vocal experiments. That led him to the conclusion that he's too good at it, to remain being just a drummer for a band, and formed Foo Fighters, which continues to kick ass even today. This song has a lot in common with the movie Inception (2010), and could have influenced the movie to a certain extent.

Michael Jackson - Who Is It - it's The King Of Pop

"Who Is It" is definitely one of the best songs that came out in the 90's. After all it was the moment when the King Of Pop had gained a lot of speed and was all over the world touring and teaching the people all over the world what music is all about. Rest In Peace Michael, you did more than enough for the world while you were alive.

The Verve - Bitter Sweet Symphony - You're a slave to money then you die.

A great song by "The Verve" with a lot of controversy surrounding it. It was the subject of a lot of plagiarism charges. The song's momentum built slowly in the United States at the end of 1997, leading to a CD single release in March 1998 which in the other hand helped the song reach number 12 on the Billboard Hot 100. Rolling stone gave the song number 392 in their best song of all time ranking.

Guns N' Roses - November Rain - a true classic.

When Axl Rose and Slash were still together and made great music this song was born, and it got one of the best videos out there at that time. The single's video won MTV's award for best cinematography for 1992. Around that time it cost the around 1.5 millon dollars to make the music video, making it one of the most expensive music videos ever made.

Madonna - Frozen - when music was real.

Lady Madonna made a change in music with this song, this was her first dark electronic sounding single and it still is one of the best ever made if you ask me. The video was shot at the Indian Wells Valley in the Mojave Desert, and the song is written, by her own words about "an emotionally frozen man".

Red Hot Chili Peppers - Californication - a song describing a whole entire groove.

This song tells you a story about the fornication in California,physhic spies from China, little girls from Sweden, some teenage bride with a baby inside and how an earthquake is just another good vibration to a girl's.... guitar. It contains some of John Frusciante's best guitar work and marks the end of the 90's in just 5 minutes and 21 seconds. Be sure to never miss it..

What we have here today is a different band that had their main success period in 1993 when the above mentioned song reached number 27 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. This quite is quite peculiar being made of two identical twin brothers from Scotland which have both turned 50 by today. Before making this folk rock single they had experience before by forming several punk rock bands in their high school years. The song is also featured on VH1's greatest one hit wonders for being their only US hit single. In 2007 they decided to remake the song and thus it once again reached number one in the UK.

These guys must have one song that is famous everywhere around the world, but it's a song that everybody knows how to dance to and that makes it special. A strange fact is that most people don't know the name of the band that actually created the song and they simply know it as "Macarena" duo to the dance and the music video. Because of the great success of Los Del Rio the music hall in their nometown Dos Hermanas was named Anfiteatro Los Del Rio. The song managed to reach the hign spots of the latin pop charts in 1994 and I am most certain that it will remain in the history of music as one of the most easy songs to dance to. Metallica - The Unforgiven

This piece of music should be known by every human being living on the planet earth, if you ask me even some of our astronauts living on the moon should know it tone by tone. The Unforgiven is not a simple song that has meaning like lots of other songs, it is different as it has a legacy and 2 continuations which are respectively named "The Unforgiven II" and "The Unforgiven III". The song was a part of the one and only black album and was released as a single in 1991 and has since been played in almost every metallica live performance until this day. One interesting fact about this song is that the horn intro of the song was initially taken from the 1960's western named The Unforgiven and it was reversed in order to hide the source of the song. The live version of this song is slightly different as it includes an additional solo that is not featured in the original record. And last ,but definitely not least is the music video for the song which is indeed a breathtaking addition to the song itself and one would definitely want to see the video along with the song if he's hearing it for the first time.

The 90's wouldn't have been the same if this song never saw the light of day. Coolio may not be that great when it comes to live performances but this one really hit the spot when it aired back in 1995 even if it did have pieces of Stevie Wonder's Pastime Paradise in it. This single was also listed under number 69 in Billboard's Greatest Songs of All-Time. This piece is also a bestselling record as it has  sold more than 5 million copies in the US. UK and Germany alone as well as more than 5.7 million worldwide. The music video for the song features Michelle Pfeiffer reprising her role in Dangerous Minds.
